Principal's Message for March

March 1, 2021

I can hardly believe that term two is coming to a close. It feels like Winter Break just ended and yet Spring Break is almost here!

Students will be bringing home their second term report card on Friday, March 5th. These report cards represent your child’s progress with the skills and concepts specific for their grade. Often these skills and concepts are a continuum, built upon the learning that took place in term one. Learning and teaching during a pandemic is challenging. I would like to take this time to praise our students for their hard work and perseverance over term two. I would also like to acknowledge our hard-working staff who placed an emphasis on supporting student wellbeing, mental health, and health & safety procedures, in addition to teaching the curriculum. Thank you as well to you, our families, for your tireless commitment to your child’s journey in learning.

Be sure to read the report over with your child and celebrate achievements and growth! As well, practice goal setting by making plans for maintaining or improving in identified competency areas for the final school term.

If you would like to discuss your child’s progress, please contact your child’s teacher to set up a time to connect. Please note that Wednesday, March 10th & Thursday, March 11th, are district-wide 1-hour early dismissal days designated for teachers to connect with parents.
