Black Shirt Day

On January 15th, 2021 and 2022, Dr. Martin Luther King’ birthday, thousands of students, educators, and citizens across British Columbia and Canada wore black shirts to promote awareness of the struggle for civil rights fought by Black, Indigenous and Peoples of Colour in Canada.
CALL TO ACTION - All educators and students are encouraged to expand this recognition by wearing a black shirt on FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2023
The wearing of black shirts is to inspire ongoing critical conversations, and the upliftment of Black Excellence.
