Human & Social

Our students will study personal and human social skills and as they relate to students' identity in the world - both as individuals and as members of their community. We are learning that personal and human social skills encompass the abilities students needs to thrive as individuals, to understand and care about themselves and others, and to find and achieve their purposes in the world. 

Starting in the 2022-2023 school year, students in our school are learning skills to become responsible citizens in our community. In particular we have established a Green Team where students from each class are chosen to sort through our recycling and raise awareness about become competent recyclers. This shared leadership structure with our students builds fluency in regard to recycling and builds capacity across our school to educate students where waste should be diverted.
